1 - I am hoping to achieve credit level. But my main problem is with the writing/speaking course work assements so i'm not too sure.
2 - I don't know.
3 - I think I definatly need to improve on my pronounciation and listening skills.
4 - I'm considering doing french next year, it depends how I get on for the remainder of the course.
5 - I enjoyed doing the film assesment and I though 'Le dinner de cons' was a good film to do it on. It was challenging but I thought it was quite fun.

I also enjoyed watching the film and then writing about it.

Lucinda - I think you will get a 2 and could get a 1. Your French accent has developed greatly as you ask questions and our read aloud nicely - you are right. You confidence has improved massively. Keep up the good work.

Daniel - You should get a General if you continue to work as hard as you are working at the moment. I have noticed a big difference in these past few weeks. You write well when you keep it simple and have a nice accent.

Charles - you shoudl get a 1. You'vre worked really hard and are already showing the capability of Higher. I am glad you are thinking of continuing next year. You would do well. Your pronunication has improved greatly as you have focused on it. Your writing is very advanced for your level. Thanks for your thoughts about the topics you have enjoyed / not enjoyed. I will take this into consideration when I next plan work. Well done.

Emma You're working well - I know you don't always find it easy. I think it would realyl help you if you make a list of all the key words and phrases that you use all the time eg. has / it is. You forget these and it would be good to have a reminder. plus yous till need to learn how to simplify your English when writing in french. Keep up the efoort - I know you put a lot of effort in and are trying hard.

Jamie - when you put in the effort you work well and produce work of a high quality. Unfortunately you don't focus enough and your level of French is often below your potential, particularly in writing. Nice speaking as always. You'll have to put in a lot more effort into writing, and accuracy in reading and listening if you want a credit.

Kelly - good to hear you are thinking about French next year. You've worked hard over the last 2 years and come a long way. To help write long pieces of work make sure you always add in lots of detail. Keep it up.You should get a 2.

Chainey - thanks for your honesty about the topics. I think you have made good progress since you have been here and I am impressed at your level of French. You seem to be more focused and interested. Keep it up and you should get a 2 with some revision.
Posted by: Learning and Teaching Scotland | November 25, 2008 at 02:29 PM
Anne - you should get a 1. To help you with your speaking try to note pronunication down and don't be set back when you are corrected. You would do very well at Higher next year and already show Higher capability in your work. Well done.
Posted by: Learning and Teaching Scotland | November 25, 2008 at 02:30 PM
Ananda - you are doing fine with the courswork elements - no need to worry there. You would do well at french next year and show good linguistic understanding. You are working hard and progressing really well. You should get a 1.
Posted by: Learning and Teaching Scotland | November 25, 2008 at 02:32 PM
Hannah - sorry you weren't in the photo. Maybe you were off that day? You should get a 2, but your work does vary greatly in quality depending on how much time and effort you put into it. When writing please try to write simply and follow what we have done in class / what you know.

Bethan - sorry you don't enjoy the speaking assessments. I think your speaking has developed well though. You are putting in a lot of effort and working well. Just keep it up. You should get a 2.
