Let's tell you a little about the day we've just spent in Dornoch Academy Modern Languages Department. Some sixteen pupils from Dornoch, Grantown Grammar and Kilchuimen Academy together with some of their wrinkly teachers got together with Ewan McIntosh from Learning and Teaching Scotland to create a series of podcasts in French and German, telling prospective holiday makers a little about their area.
Three groups have created their own podcasts which can be found elsewhere in this blog.
Have a listen and see what you think. Leave us a message if you like.
What has impressed us most as teachers is the quality of language produced by the pupils, and also their skills in working in groups. Bien joué! Gut gemacht!

So did you enjoy the day teachers? Definately was a hectic experience but a real learning one too. I think I kinda feel confident to do it myself now at Grantown. Might try it as an end of year activity in the last week and get each year group class to produce something and put it all together with my producer from yesterday! Thanks + good luck!

Yes, I definitely enjoyed it too! 'Merci fürs frööge – sisch super gsi’ said my sort-of-native-speaker pupil, Deion, at the end. End of term activity... sounds good. I hope to start a weekly (well, maybe monthly!) podcast if I can enthuse enough pupils to come at lunch time or after school next session.
