  • Andrew
Here is a display of work of class 2E1 (2nd year German). Below is the task they were asked to complete. "Write a short letter to our new German assistant Benjamin (in German). I will ask Benjamin to pick the best letter, and there will be a small prize. Must be handed in by 12th September. You must mention the following things: Introduce yourself Talk about what you like and don't like to do (hobbies) One or two of your favourite things. Where you live (describe the area you live in and your house/flat) What you do in the different rooms in your house, how do you help at home? Describe your bedroom."

2E1 Montrose Posters

  • 2E1 Were asked to design a poster about Montrose, to tell visitors what there is there, and what you can and can't do. Well done to Naomi, Daniel and Kieran M for the winning entry!

Nice work, guys! Do you think you'll be doing more and would you add music and things to it, too, or just keep it the spoken word? Looking forward to it whatever format you choose.

Lynne

This sounds fantastic, great to hear all about Montrose Academy in German. Look forward to hearing more from you.

Not only good to hear about your progress but also to hear about Mr Curran's development as your teacher. Unfortunately, don't have sound on my PC at home but looking forward to hearing more of your activities.

Great stuff! I will let my pupils listen to this next week and see how much of it they can understand. Hopefully they will be in touch.

Joe Dale

This is great. I started a similar blog last week called Two Stars and a Wish http://www.nodehillfrench.typepad.com/. The pupils have reacted very positively to it so far.

I like your use of the photo album by the way.

Best wishes

Joe

Wow - some great accents there. The lad Benjamin sounds particularly promising - or did I miss something?

I am training to hopefully become a French teacher and your work is inspiring. Will keep checking up on any new entries.

Mr Curran and 4P2,

Congratulations! I really enjoyed your podcast. I liked how 4P2 sounded very natural when they were being interviewed. Their German was good and I thought they had good accents too. Maybe the next one could be longer - it would be great to hear more!

We listened to your recording. It was good but we didn't understand much, but we are only in 1st year.
Robbie Beanz says 'the comments were good but you should try singing hey hey hallo and see if you are better than us at singing but i doubt it'

Craig B says 'u sounded very German and you sounded like a drowning cat'

Hi,

This is a great example of a class podcast! I don't speak much German myself but I could understand everything you said, as your accents and pronunciation are really clear.

Keep up the good work, 4P2!

Ausgezichnet. Great pronunciation and lots of confidence in delivery. Keep up the fantastic work. Keep an ear out for my S4 presentations in a couple of weeks. If you are bilingual listen to some S3 French.
