GGS: Day 12

Today we went to the Great Wall!!! I think it is fair to say that not only are we all Geishas but our thighs are damn toned too! Steep does not cover it…vertical does! Unfortunately, although the Great wall is renowned for having fantastic views and scenery, we barely saw anything as the mountains were shrouded in mist and a rather unwelcome and all too familiar blinding rain that was more what you would expect in the Cairngorms…not north-east

However, who can complain when we’ve been to one of the 7/8?! Wonders of the World! The weather may be better back home but we’re in

baby! Tiring as it was, today was an experience we really will never forget, although it hasn’t quite yet sunk in, as we left our heads in the clouds though our very heavy legs stumbled back to earth!

We also saw some of the world famous Cloisonné pottery and had a big lunch but lets be honest…………

Off to the Peking Opera tomorrow, after more killer kung fu!
