Montrose Academy. Mr Curran (Modern Languages): Radio Mighty Mo!

Here is a display of work of class 2E1 (2nd year German). Below is the task they were asked to complete. "Write a short letter to our new German assistant Benjamin (in German). I will ask Benjamin to pick the best letter, and there will be a small prize. Must be handed in by 12th September. You must mention the following things: Introduce yourself Talk about what you like and don't like to do (hobbies) One or two of your favourite things. Where you live (describe the area you live in and your house/flat) What you do in the different rooms in your house, how do you help at home? Describe your bedroom."

Radio Mighty Mo!

Hallo!

We are class 4P2, and welcome to our radio station! For our first programme, we are out and about in the streets of Montrose, interviewing people about their jobs. We hope you understand everything. There are a couple of mistakes but we did pretty well for our first proper programme. Enjoy!

Brilliant podcast guys. Were you really out on the streets or have you used some clever sound effects?
Try to have more confidence when you speak it will help with your pronunciation.

Adam, No we were in the classroom unfortunately! I don't know if I could trust this lot wandering the streets of Montrose! Am I right or wrong guys?
The traffic noise is just a sound effect that we added. Thanks for the comments for the class. I will make sure that they read them

Class 4P2, you keep on producing work like this and show Mr Curran how much he can trust you. Sometimes my classes take to the streets of Tobermory (that's Balamory to you) to record - when our website goes live later this week, have a listen to our recordings and listen out for the sounds of seagulls and the COOP lorry reversing - no added sound effects for us!
