Les Rencontres Théâtrales 2007 - les performances

Mesdames et messieurs The Gordon Schools vous prèsente...les élèves du nord-est de l'Ecosse.

Yet another post dealing with last weeks fantastic events. I want to let the acts do all the talking, suffice to say the standard of drama and french was outstanding on the day. Just listen to one or two of the productions to see what our children can produce when given the time and encouragement

So as Myles (the chief in our own production) said:

"Que le bal commence!"

My own personal favourites, apart from my lot were Fetterangus and Hopeman Primaries. They were simply fantastic.

Cultural Xtra 2006

The world came to The Gordon Schools yesterday.

Tutors from Multiethnic Aberdeen Ltd descended on TGS to lead workshops in African Cookery, African song and dance, Thai dance and rap writing and hip hop dance. The whole of S3 took part in what turned out to be a day of learning, awareness and plain fun.

Comments from students included:
"I didn't think I would have an adventure day like this in 4 hours"
"It taught me some new stuff"
...it was utterly sensational"
"I had a brilliant time with different people."

Ther aim of the day was to promote awareness of and celebrate the different cultures in our society and judging by these comments I think we succeeded.
