Hi Joe

Thanks for your comment. I would be more than willing to be interviewed, but unfortunately I don't have skype..yet. Am waiting to get hooked up to broadband at home. Not sure if I could do it in school.
It will be a useful process for me to go through as I have been invited to give a seminar at an conference for language teachers in March...gulp.
Adam
PS Let me know via email how you want to proceed with this.

Hi Adam,

Hope you are well and getting ready for Xmas. I was wondering if I could interview you for my blog? Using Skype we can have a conversation and I can record it with a piece of software called Pretty May. I was thinking we could chat for about 20 minutes about your use of technology in your teaching, particularly blogging and podcasting. If you don't use Skype I can ring you from my computer to a landline and it will work equally as well. The sorts of questions could be:

1. Tell me a bit about your teaching background and how you use technology in your teaching.
2. How have your pupils reacted to your use of ICT. Has it increased their motivation and raised standards?
3. Tell me about how you use blogging and podcasting in the classroom. When and why did you start it? What has been the reaction of teachers and pupils to recording and listening to themselves. What challenges has it created for you?
4. Could you explain briefly the nardware and software you use to blog and podcast with. How easy is it?
5. What future plans do you have for blogging and podcasting?

Tell me what you think.

Best wishes

Joe

P.S To listen to some examples of interviews I've done recently, have a look on my blog from this link:

What a great podcast. Very professional sounding too! I'll put a link on my blog for my students to access this podcast for revision. Thanks!

These photos were taken during a day of culturally themed events which took plce in our school on Monday 12th june 2006. The event was organised by Adam Sutcliffe, a languages teacher at the school, and featured tutors from Multiethnic Aberdeen Ltd. MeAL exists to help schools and other organisations promote awareness of the different cultures which exist in Aberdeen City and Shire. Students took part in Thai and African dance, African Cookery and rap writing and hip hop dance and as can be seen from the photos they thouroughly enjoyed it.

S3 Geography Field Trip to Cullen

  • Tank_traps
This selection of photos was taken on the S3 Geography field trip to Cullen. We walked from Portknockie to Cullen identifying all the Geographical points of interest. Once in Cullen we identified the points of interest in the harbour, and carried out a topological survey of the area surounding the square. Then we had ice cream...nice!
